Prize Package Commemorates Drawing’s 200th Week

By Ron Kopczick | December 18, 2009

4989_christmas_cvr.JPGA special prize package is being offered in commemoration of the latest milestone for the Pentecostal Evangel’s Weekly Drawing. As 2009 concludes, the drawing has been part of the Evangel Web site for 200 consecutive weeks. The milestone will be recognized during the two weeks leading to the Jan. 7 drawing.

Due to Christmas, there will be no drawing for Dec. 31. Instead Evangel readers shall have a two-week window to enter the Jan. 7 contest. Acceptance of entries will begin at 12 a.m. (CST) on Sunday, Dec. 20, and conclude at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2. Although the entry period has been expanded for this special drawing, contestants may enter only once.

The winner of the Jan. 7 drawing will receive a one-year print subscription to the Evangel, a signed copy of Theology in a Nutshell by Evangel Editor Ken Horqa.JPGn, and a selection from the Pentecostal Evangel Books library — Q&A: Conversations With 50 Inspiring People. During its run the Weekly Drawing has given away more than 160 books and 50 subscriptions to winners of the online contest.

Recently, Gospel Publishing House joined with the Evangel to offer double prizes for an 11-week period. That partnership will resume in January when signed copies of Living in the Spirit by Assemblies of God General Superintendent George O. Wood, The 360-Degree Disciple by AG Assistant General Superintendent Alton Garrison, and Secrets: Transforming Your Life and Marriage by Kerry Clarensau are provided by GPH. Each book will be teamed with a gift from the Evangel.

Entries for the Dec. 24 drawing may be submitted until 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19. The winner will be announced Tuesday, Dec. 22. To enter, visit the Evangel home page at www.pe.ag.organd click the Weekly Drawing option.
