In recognition of the Pentecostal Evangel’s 96th anniversary, the winner of the magazine’s July 16 Weekly Drawing will receive two gifts instead of the usual one. A 12-month subscription to the print version of the Evangel along with a copy of Theology in a Nutshell will be awarded to the person selected from online entries submitted starting at 12 a.m. (CDT) this Sunday, July 5, until 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, July 11.
Since last October, the winner of the Weekly Drawing has been accorded either a six-month Evangel print subscription or Theology in a Nutshell, the latest book by PE Editor Ken Horn. The anniversary prize package commemorates the July 19, 1913, birth of the periodical initially known as The Christian Evangel published in Plainfield, Ind. The Evangel’s 5,000th edition will be produced for March 7, 2010.
The Weekly Drawing was introduced on the Evangel’s Web site in March 2006 to thank the magazine’s readers for their loyalty. Through this week’s drawing, there have been 174 winners representing 41 states, one Canadian province, and the countries of Nigeria, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom. The current winner is the first representative from the state of Vermont. Entries for the Weekly Drawing have been received from all 50 of the United States, three U.S. territories, eight Canadian provinces, and 33 nations outside of North America.
To enter the current Weekly Drawing for a copy of Theology in a Nutshell, please visit www.tpe.ag.org by 11:59 p.m. (CDT) on the Fourth of July. Just look for the Weekly Drawing button on the left side of the home page. As mentioned earlier, entries for the special anniversary drawing will be accepted from 12 a.m. on Sunday, July 5, until 11:59 p.m. on the eleventh. There is a limit of one entry per individual or e-mail address per week.
